About Us
Ask Imagine Academy LLC is owned by me, Len Rotherham, and is located in Caddo Mills with both a classroom and range on site. I served in the Marine Corps with MC Security Forces, in the Infantry and as a Primary Marksmanship Instructor. I started this company in 2020 to teach different techniques of self-protection after seeing the increase in violent crime, The classes offered focus on all levels of personal protection that should be incorporated for a complete Personal Protection Strategy.
Understanding the reluctance by some of using firearms, I expanded the class roster to include Refuse To Be A Victim, which teaches tips and techniques needed to be alerted to dangerous situations and to avoid criminal confrontation. While this is a great course for anyone, I also have dedicated presentations for College age and Senior citizens.
The Personal Property Inventory service catalogues furniture and assets in a spreadsheet with pictures. This ensures peace of mind in the unfortunate event of theft or a natural disaster. You will receive the only copy of a detailed spreadsheet with Model and Serial Numbers along with other information and photos.
Ask Imagine has also partnered with Firearms Legal Protection to provide legal assistance in the event of a confrontation. FLP should be the 2nd call you make after a lethal criminal confrontation. Based in Dallas, TX, FLP has a 24 hour Lawyer Hotline that will be an immediate benefit for anyone in this situation. Click on any of the FLP links to learn more and save now!
The Big Question: What are the Benefits of a Texas LTC over Constitutional Carry
-
Reciprocity: This is a big one. An LTC allows you to carry in many more states. Texas has reciprocity agreements with a significant number of other states, meaning your LTC is recognized as a carry permit in those places.
-
Carry in more places: The Texas LTC allows you to carry in a lot more places including, school zones, school parking lots, collage campuses “including in buildings”, past no carry “gun buster” signs, hospitals, nursing homes and more.
-
Potential legal advantages: An LTC might offer some additional legal protection in self-defense situations. While the laws are complex, having an LTC demonstrates you’ve received training on firearms safety and Texas law.
-
Faster firearm purchases: LTC holders are exempt from background checks when buying guns from a dealer.
-
Demonstrates responsible gun ownership: An LTC shows you’ve gone through the process of education and background checks. This can be a positive if you’re ever questioned by law enforcement.
- Trespass Protection: If you carry past a no carry sign they must give you an opportunity to leave the building before you can be charged.
